SASKATOON – If you’re looking for the reason why we prank each other on April 1, you may be out of luck. There’s no really clear start to April Fool’s Day in history, with different cultures having variations on the unofficial holiday.

Regardless of history, there are those who relish the day where they can trick their friends and loved ones with (relatively) low consequences.
Remember when Global’s Kevin Stanfield announced he was running for city council? Although it was revealed as an April Fool’s day prank, he still occasionally gets asked when he will officially launch his campaign.
