Okanagan ski season almost over

KELOWNA–Closing weekend for Silver Star Mountain Resort is upon us.

The North Okanagan ski resort is celebrating the season with its first annual Slush Cup and Super Hero day on Saturday, April 2.

It’s a puddle jump on skis and the winner will take home a pair of K2 skis.

Sunday, April 3 is Retro Day.  Skiers and boarders are invited to break out their tightest, brightest, and oldest skiwear.

Apex Resort in the South Okanagan also closes this weekend.

It’s ending the season with a Dummy Downhill on Saturday, April 2, and a Slush Cup on April 3.

The last resort to close in the Okanagan this season is Big White near Kelowna.

It’s claiming record-breaking visitor numbers this season, not seen in the resort’s 53 year history.

It’s last day of winter operations is April 10.

The Dummy Downhill will launch at 1 p.m. and as always, be judged on creativity, takeoff and landing.
