BELLEVILLE, Ont. – A 27-year-old woman is facing charges after a young child fell from a moving vehicle in Belleville, Ont.
Police say they received a report Monday afternoon about a toddler in a car seat falling out of the front door of the car.
It’s alleged the driver stopped, picked up the child – still in the car seat – and put the youngster back in the vehicle before leaving the scene.
Investigators interviewed a Belleville woman Tuesday, and say she is charged with failing to ensure the toddler was properly secured and driving while under suspension.
Police say the two-year-old child suffered minor injuries.
The woman is to appear in court next month.
