As the sun goes down in Europe, support for Belgium is pouring in after Tuesday’s deadly terror attacks in its capital.
More than 30 people died and 170 were injured during the Brussels attack, which saw explosions at the Brussels airport and the Maalbeek metro station.
Monuments across Europe, including the Eiffel Tower and Trevi Fountain, and around the world are lighting up in the colours of the Belgian flag to show support for the country, which will hold three days of national mourning.

In Toronto, Mayor John Tory said the iconic “Toronto” sign outside city hall would be lit in black, yellow and red to remember victims of the Brussels attack, but it would be dimmed later Tuesday night to honour former mayor Rob Ford, who died earlier in the day.
In Belgium, people are flooding to the Place de la Bourse in the centre of Brussels to light candles and lay flowers at a memorial.
