WINNIPEG — Winnipeg police are asking for the public’s help to track down a suspect who robbed a 90-year-old man.
Police said around 10:30 p.m. Saturday someone rang the doorbell of the senior’s home in the 400 block of Horace Street.
The victim opened a side window to speak with a man outside who said he was having car trouble.
The senior passed the man a phone, but he climbed into the home through the window.
Police said the suspect then threatened the senior and took cash. The 90-year-old man wasn’t hurt.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 30 – 35 years old, with a medium build, short hair and wearing a baseball hat with “Canada” on the front. He was wearing a dark blue t-shirt with a ripped front and a second t-shirt underneath and blue mitts.
Anyone with information is asked to call (204) 986-6219, or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
