LAVAL – A 7-year-old girl is dead after she was struck by a car while out for a walk with family members Saturday evening.
The child was walking along Levesque Boulevard East in Laval when she was hit by the car at around 10:00 p.m.

According to Patrick Boucher with Laval police, the girl was attempting to cross the street with her father.
“They let two cars go by,” Boucher said. “She was hit by a third car.”
Boucher said the girl suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital where she later died.
The girl’s father was also taken to hospital to be treated for shock.
Investigators were at the scene early Sunday morning trying to determine the cause of the of the collision.
