DORVAL – An issue that has caused headaches for Dorval commuters using the 211 bus is highlighting an odd quirk of public responsibility.

Commuters are frustrated over a giant puddle in front of the tunnel entrance to the 211 bus stop at Pine Beach stop, but the reason the problem persists may be due to the fact that it isn’t clear who’s responsible for fixing it.

The so-called “puddle of doom” exists on a spit of concrete just off a Highway 20 ramp in front of the AMT tunnel network, and adjacent to an STM bus stop.

Both the STM and AMT insist it isn’t their responsibility; Rouleau said it isn’t Dorval’s either.

He said the city will clean up the issue this time, but added that all parties need to consult with each other to determine who is truly responsible in the future.
