Lethbridge police search for man who fled BC psychiatric hospital with ties to city

Lethbridge police are hoping residents can help find a man with ties to the city wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

On Feb. 10, David Fomradas left the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital in Coquitlam, B.C. on an unauthorized absence and did not return.

Fomradas, 38, is 5’11” and 156 pounds with blue eyes, long light brown hair, a moustache and a beard. He was last seen wearing dark grey pants, a brown sweater and black jacket. He was also wearing a hat. Police said he has “the potential for violence when not on his medication.” He’s wanted for being unlawfully at large.

Police said he’s originally from Lethbridge and still has ties to the community. They said anyone who spots him should not approach him, but instead call police immediately at 403-328-4444 or 911 in an emergency. If anyone has information they can also call the Coquitlam RCMP Missing Persons Unit at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2016-4392.
