Ontario breaks warm weather records a week after a frigid Valentine’s Day
A slew of locations across southern Ontario had their warmest Feb. 20 ever, less than one week after shattering Valentine’s Day cold-weather records.
The Windsor airport flew past its previous record of 14 C, set in 1983, with temperatures reaching 16.9 C Saturday.
Toronto’s Pearson Airport was as warm as 12.5 C, breaking the previous record from 1994.
In the southwest, Sarnia was 14.4 C, which broke a record also set in 1994.
Records were also broken in London at 12.2 C, Waterloo-Wellington at 10.8 C, Hamilton Airport at 12.4 C, and Oshawa at 11.9 C.
