A UK man is assaulted, choked unconscious, and robbed by two assailants in shocking security camera released by London Metropolitan Police Thursday.

According to police, the brazen robbery took place on the afternoon of February 10, as two men entered a car rental store on Court Road where the victim, a 46-year-old man, was working.

The two men are seen assaulting the unidentified victim, still seated at his chair, with one attacker placing him in a chokehold while the other attacks him from the front.

In short order, the victim is pulled to the ground, where he is choked until he loses consciousness. The second attacker then removes the man’s watch, a US $21,000 gold Rolex, before the two suspects flee the store.

“The suspects stood outside the van hire shop in broad daylight for some time, appearing to look at the price list before entering and violently attacking the victim, choking him to the point where he lost consciousness,” Detective Constable Andrew Payne said.

Police have decided to release the footage online in the hopes someone will be able to identify the two suspects.

“We have taken the decision to release the footage to show the level of violence used, and ask the public for help in apprehending the persons responsible,” Payne said.

Police believe the victim was targeted specifically for his Rolex watch, as no other items were taken.

“We believe the victim was targeted by the suspects to steal his watch,” Payne said. “We are keen to identify them and would ask anyone with information to come forward.”
