WINNIPEG — Fire crews were on scene for over 18 hours battling hot spots at a massive blaze that broke out at a Manitoba business Sunday morning.
Firefighters battled tough conditions and a fire that ripped through a warehouse on St. Mary’s Road.
The fire broke out around 11 a.m. on the 400 block of St. Mary’s Road. Traffic on both the north and southbound lanes have been closed off until further notice.
Smoke was thick, heavy and could be seen from the Red River Mutual Trail.

Fire officials said there are no injuries but that the building is likely a total loss. Police said damage is estimated at $1,000,000. Minor smoke damage to a nearby building has been reported as the investigation continues.
