A 45-year-old man was shot and killed while attending a one-year-old’s birthday party on Saturday night in a Detroit suburb, according to reports.
The incident took place at the Play Atlantis Family Fun Center in Melvindale, Michigan, police told the Detroit Free Press.
Witnesses told the News-Herald two different celebrations were underway at the amusement centre when a fight broke out between two men who were each attending the separate parties.
One man then left the building, returning with a gun, and shooting the victim.
Play Atlantis is a family entertainment complex with an arcade, go-karts, mini-golf and a bar area, according to its website.
Melvindale, which is located near Detroit, has a population of just under 11,000 people.
