PRINCE GEORGE — The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Prince George Cougars 4-3 in overtime on Friday night at the CN Centre in Prince George, coming from behind to earn the victory.

Rourke Chartier had a hat trick, tying the game with just 1:10 to go in the third period and then winning it in overtime as the Rockets improved to 38-15-3-0 on the season.

It was the second time in three games that Chartier has scored a hat-trick and the San Jose draft pick now has 17 goals in just 27 games played this year.

The Cougars outshot Kelowna 46-34 in the game but Michael Herringer had an outstanding game to keep the game close, before Chartier tied it late.

Tomas Soustal opened the scoring for the Rockets and also added an assist.
