Milano’s on the Lake, an upscale seafood restaurant in New South Wales, Australia, partially sank into the shores it was built upon.
According to local media reports, authorities said the pier and poles supporting the front half of the two-storey building buckled under its weight.
Two people who were inside the building escaped unharmed.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported that the land was assessed for any structural issues in December and it was deemed safe, but some argue it was a disaster waiting to happen.
Local politician Yasmin Catley claims she warned officials about the stability of the building, which is built on crown land.
“One of the residents living upstairs there had been told not to use her verandah so clearly there were some structural issues with the building,” said Catley.
Milano’s posted a photo of the damage on their Facebook page, stating that they would be closed until further notice.
