The phrase “a million-to-one-shot” might properly sum up a car that ended up on the roof of a home in Palo Verdes, CA.

According to a KCBS report, a medical problem led to a driver of a Lexus sedan losing control, hitting two parked cars before launching onto the roof of a detached garage of the home around 4pm on Wednesday.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

“You just can’t believe how dumb it is! Awful!” said the homeowner who was at home at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Lexus was conscious when emergency personnel arrived and suffered only minor injuries.

A crane was needed to remove the car off the roof.

The location of the home is below street level which might help explain how the car could end up on the roof.

Next-door neighbour Elaine Siddall said cars crashing into homes along the busy street “happens all the time.”
