Journey to Churchill added to list of authentic Canadian travel experiences

WINNIPEG — The Assiniboine Park Zoo’s Journey to Churchill has been added to Destination Canada’s collection of Canadian Signature Experiences.

The list showcases once-in-a-lifetime, authentic travel experiences that exemplify Canada’s tourism brand.

“We’re very proud that Journey to Churchill is now a part of this exclusive and authentic collection of travel experiences,” said Margaret Redmond, President & CEO of the Assiniboine Park Conservancy.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for us to engage even more visitors and tourists to learn about northern species, habitats and cultures and inspire them to take positive actions towards conservation.”

Visitors taking part in the Zoo’s Canadian Signature Experience will be given a private guided tour of Journey to Churchill. They’ll also join a zookeeper for an up-close animal encounter with one of the Zoo’s nine polar bears.
