Someone in Europe paid over $1 million for a portrait of an Irish potato.

Irish photographer Kevin Abosch sold his portrait dubbed “Potato #345” to a European business man who spotted the image in the photographer’s home in Paris, according to the Irish Times.

The image was made in 2010 and only three prints were made, the Times reported.

“I see commonalities between humans and potatoes that speak to our relationship as individuals within a collective species,” Abosch told the newspaper. “Generally, the life of a harvested potato is violent and taken for granted. I use the potato as a proxy for the ontological study of the human experience.”

Abosch donated one of the prints to an art museum in Serbia last year and the remaining print hangs in the photographer’s private collection, the Times reported.
