Woman walking with 9-month-old baby attacked in East Vancouver

A woman is recovering after she was attacked in East Vancouver Saturday morning.

She was holding a nine-month-old baby at the time, walking near Commercial Drive and Fifth Avenue when she was punched in the face a couple of times.

Police say it was an unprovoked assault and no words were exchanged before the attack.

They are looking for two male suspects. One is described as Aboriginal. There is no description of the second man.

The woman suffered a cut to her lip, but the baby was not hurt.

Investigators will be canvassing for video from the area.
