SIU investigating after woman injured in incident at Motel 6 in Brampton

The province’s police watchdog has taken over an investigation after a woman was injured at a Motel 6 in Brampton overnight.

Peel police responded to the scene at 160 Steelwell Road around midnight for a stolen car investigation.

Peel EMS say a woman in her 20s was taken to a trauma centre in non-life threatening condition.

The Special Investigations Unit is an arm’s length agency that investigates reports involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
