It was another busy night for the volunteers at North Shore Rescue as they helped two lost hikers off Grouse Mountain.

The pair got lost on the Crown Mountain Trail last night.

Peter Haigh, Search Manager with North Shore Rescue, says they got a phone call around 8 p.m. about two hikers asking for directions on how to get onto the trail.

The crews tried contacting the pair, but could not get through, so a team was dispatched to look for them.

The team set up in the Grouse Mountain parking lot and were able to get in touch with the hikers quickly.

They eventually found the pair, but crews are saying they weren’t the easiest hikers to find.

“We thought they might be off trail, so we wanted to do some shouting to get their attention, but we had no idea between Grouse and Crown where they were,” says Haigh.

The hikers have since phoned in and said they did not need any help.

It appears they were appropriately clothed and supplied.
