Conservative leader Rona Ambrose is ‘heartbroken’ for victims in La Loche

OTTAWA – Interim Conservative leader Rona Ambrose says she is heartbroken over the deaths and injuries resulting from last week’s shooting in La Loche, Sask.

She calls it a horrifying event and says her sympathies and prayers go out to the families and loved ones of the victims.

Ambrose says she and her colleagues share the grief of those affected and are offering their support in order to help the healing to begin.

Four people were shot and killed and seven others were wounded Friday in the isolated northern Saskatchewan community.

Ambrose says she has told the government that she and the Conservatives are ready to help in any way they can.

She is offering prayers for the swift recovery of the wounded.
