Meth, cocaine seized by Saskatoon police in drug bust

SASKATOON – A 28-year-old man is facing trafficking charges after a drug bust in Saskatoon. The bust was made Thursday morning when police searched a Hampton Village home in the 200-block of McKague Crescent.

Officers seized cocaine, methamphetamine, cannabis, cannabis resin and packaging police say is commonly used for distributing drugs. They also seized cash, a rifle, a shotgun and ammunition.

The unidentified man is facing three charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, three trafficking charges, possession of cannabis resin, possession of the proceeds of crime and several weapons charges.

Police say three other people in the home at the time of the bust are not facing any charges.

The accused is expected to appear in Saskatoon provincial court on Friday.
