An avalanche has come crashing down on Highway 40 this morning, 90 kilometres west of the junction with Highway 99 at Lillooet.
It happened near Mintos Bluff.
There’s no word if anyone was hurt or if any cars were damaged.
Officials say Highway 40 is closed as crews clean up the slide and there is no detour available.
Avalanche danger rating in the Sea to Sky area is currently ‘high’ and the rating was raised to ‘considerable’ on North Shore mountains on Thursday.
