Halifax Regional Police are searching for a suspicious male who approached a 9-year-old girl while walking to school in the west end of the city Wednesday morning.
Police say a male stopped his car on the side of the road in the area of Connolly Street and Edgewood Avenue at about 8 a.m. The man then asked the girl to get inside.
The girl ran inside her school and the man did not follow her.
The man is described as having a slim build with red or orange cropped hair and freckles on his face. He was wearing a black baseball hat and black jacket at the time of the incident and was driving an older metallic blue vehicle with shiny hubcaps.
