2 dead after truck plunges into Fraser River
Weather conditions are believed to have been a factor in a fatal collision in Chilliwack early Sunday morning.
A truck was travelling down an icy gravel road at around 1 a.m. and dropped six metres over an embankment and into the Fraser River in the 46000-block of Ballam Road.
Crews managed to pull the truck out of the water, but the two 18-year-old men from Chilliwack could not be revived.
The coroner is now investigating. The names of the two men haven’t been released.
