CALGARY – Emergency crews were called to the scene of a single vehicle rollover on Highway 21 near Carbon Saturday at around 9 a.m.
Witnesses told RCMP that three people from the SUV, two men and a woman, left the scene with another unknown vehicle and were headed towards Calgary.
RCMP said the SUV, a silver Toyota 4-Runner, was reported stolen from Airdrie on Dec. 18, 2015.
Items recovered at the accident scene included an unsecured firearm, also believed to be stolen.
RCMP continues to investigate and would like to speak with the person who provided a ride to the three people involved in the accident.
They are asking the public for help. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Beiseker RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
