WATCH: A safety team rescues a snowboarder from the gondola at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort – Jan 5, 2016

Approximately 75 skiers and snowboarders found themselves stranded on the gondola at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort near Golden, B.C. on Sunday.

A safety team evacuated the gondola, which stopped operating when a transformer blew.

In some cases, people had to be airlifted by helicopter. One guest managed to capture video of the rescue.

On Monday, the resort posted a message on Facebook:

Further to an electrical issue, the Golden Eagle Express Gondola was manually evacuated yesterday evening. With everyone safe, warm and fed, we apologize to each of you involved for the inconvenience. We are thankful that everyone is safe and credit to the talented team of professionals; Kicking Horse Mountain Resort teams, Golden and District Search and Rescue & Canadian Ski Patrol.

Last week, over 100 skiers and snowboarders were forced to rappel down a ski lift in Alberta.
