It was a good start to the year for one bird in Langley.
Last November, a red-tailed hawk was hit by a truck and caught in the grill.
He went to stay with the Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society in Delta, where he was treated for a concussion and nursed back to health.

On Saturday, he was released back into the wild at R. E. Mountain Secondary School in Langley.
The man who owned the truck that hit the bird was also there to see him off.
