In an effort to make planning easier, Parks Canada will open reservations starting in January. “Whether it be a fully-serviced campsite, roofed accommodation, an interpretive guided hike or a remote backcountry experience, visitors can plan their experience with confidence and travel at ease, with the peace of mind of a guaranteed place at their favourite location,” Parks Canada said of its 27 national parks across Canada. The organization said close to 20 million visitors have travelled to its 44 national parks and 168 national historic sites across Canada as of September 2015, an increase of five per cent since the previous year.
