WINNIPEG — If you’re flying out of Winnipeg anytime soon, you may be paying more for your ticket than in most Canadian cities.
According to a recent Statistics Canada report, passengers flying out of the Winnipeg Richardson International Airport, will pay more than most other Canadian cities.
In the report, Toronto had the highest average domestic air fare at $215.10, followed by Vancouver at $201.20.
Winnipeg ranked third at $193, which is above the national average. Meanwhile, Saskatoon had the lowest average air fare at $159.60.
*The average airfares are calculated for each flight stage. When the passenger boards the aircraft at one airport and departs the aircraft at another airport, this is considered a flight stage.
