Brothers wanted in Sutherland assault turn themselves in

SASKATOON – Two brothers wanted for their alleged involvement in a Sutherland assault have turned themselves in to Saskatoon police. Warrants were issued last week for Darren and Darcy Hinds after a video of the Nov. 28 assault was posted online.

The video shows two men repeatedly punching and kicking two other men in the 900-block of Central Avenue.

The victims suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Darren Hinds, 28, is facing two charges of aggravated assault and one of uttering threats to cause death. Darcy Hinds, 25, is facing two aggravated assault charges.

The former Saskatchewan Huskies football players are scheduled to appear Monday afternoon in Saskatoon provincial court.
