The drug case against NHL’er Mike Richards will be pushed back for a second time.

A hearing is scheduled for Tuesday in an Emerson, Manitoba provincial courthouse. David Humphrey, the lawyer representing the 30-year-old Kenora born, told Global News the matter will go over to a date in January that will be later determined. The case was initially remanded for three months back in September.
Richards was charged earlier this summer after he allegedly tried to cross into Canada at Emerson with oxycodone. The powerful painkiller can’t be brought across the border without a prescription.

The LA Kings terminated the two-time Stanley Cup champion’s 12-year, $69-million contract following his arrest. The two sides reached a settlement in October.
Richards will not attend tomorrow’s hearing. It hasn’t been determined if Richards will make an appearance at his next court date.
