WINNIPEG — Canadian Armed Forces members were honoured at Brookside Cemetery Sunday afternoon through the Wreaths Across Canada program.
It aims to connect Canadians with veterans interred at burial sites across the country by laying wreaths at their grave sites.
This year a New Brunswick company supplied over 300 balsam wreaths, some of which were laid at individual graves while others were places at the Stone of Remembrance at Brookside Cemetery.
Bison Transport brought the wreaths to Winnipeg.
This is the second year the event has taken place in Winnipeg.
