December temperatures breaking old records thanks to El Nino

WINNIPEG — Record temperatures were set all across Manitoba Thursday. Temperatures were as warm as 10.6° Celsius in McCreary.

Here are new record temperatures set December 3rd.

Unseasonably warm temperatures are expected to continue for another week. It’s still early in December but so far, Global’s Chief Meteorologist, Anthony Farnell’s prediction is right on for our province.

Looking at Winnipeg’s long range forecast, there is no sign that temperatures are going to be falling in the near future. With a number of areas in southern Manitoba without snow, there is also a good chance more records could be set in the next week.
