CALGARY – A Calgary woman is facing a long list of charges after a vehicle was stolen twice in the community of Cranston.

Police believe 28-year-old Kayla Lynn-Ann Russell of Calgary stole a Ford F350 at least once.

The truck was first stolen from Cranfield Manor S.E. on Nov. 24. The suspects in that case allegedly fled the scene after crashing the truck into a parked vehicle.

The owner called police after finding the vehicle, but wasn’t able to shut the vehicle off, due to damage. While waiting for police inside his home, a woman got into the vehicle and drove off and eventually spun out and became stuck in a neighbour’s driveway.

Police don’t know if this suspect is the same one involved in the first attempted theft.

The female suspect fled the area, but a short time later, a woman matching her description was stopped and arrested.
