KELOWNA — A sad ending to an accident involving a pedestrian in Kelowna.
The incident happened just before noon Tuesday at the intersection of KLO Road and Richter Street where an 83-year-old woman was struck while crossing the intersection at a crosswalk.
The car that struck her was being driven by a 72-year-old woman.
She claims she didn’t see the pedestrian as she was making a left-hand turn from KLO onto Richter.
RCMP say the 83-year-old woman has died from her injuries. Her name has not been released.
No word yet if charges will be laid against the driver.
Police are still looking for witnesses to the incident.
