SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. – One person from Swift Current has died after a fatal collision on the Trans-Canada Highway just west of Swift Current.
RCMP were called to Highway 1 after a car and a tractor trailer collided – there is one confirmed death to the 27-year-old male who was driving the car and the two males in the tractor trailer were not injured in the crash.
The west bound lanes of Highway 1 were closed for several hours but it is now open for traffic. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
