Rescue crews recovered a body from Chemainus Lake after a fishing accident Wednesday morning.
The RCMP dive team, along with a local search and rescue team and firefighters, responded to a report of two men in the water after a canoe sank around 10:30 a.m.

A 22-year-old Nanaimo man was able to swim to shore and was treated by paramedics. Another 22-year-old man was missing after the boat sank.
Crews recovered the body around 5 p.m.
