LETHBRIDGE – Motorists travelling on Highway 5 may have seen a thick plume of smoke early Tuesday morning.
Just before 6 a.m., fire crews from Lethbridge and Coaldale were called to a hay stack fire near the intersection of Highway 5 and Highway 508, south of the Lethbridge Airport.

There were no injuries to people or livestock, no structures or hazardous materials involved.
The investigation into the fire continues.
