TORONTO — A 37-year-old addiction treatment centre director has been charged in connection with a sexual assault investigation in which police say there may be more victims.

Police said that Erik Bouaziz, the co-owner and director of The Academy Addiction Treatment Centre at 3 Warrendale Crt., was arrested just before 10 a.m. Thursday.

Investigators alleged that in September 2015, the accused used his “position of authority” at the academy to obtain sexual favours from a female client at the facility.

Bouaziz has been charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of sexual exploitation.

He appeared in a Toronto court on Friday at 10 a.m. and investigators are working to determine if other similar incidents had occurred.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Toronto police or Crime Stoppers.
