Jim Cuddy and Col. Chris Hadfield are among 45 people who will be awarded the Order of Canada Wednesday in a ceremony led by Governor General David Johnston.
Hadfield, the first Canadian to command the International Space Station, will be honoured for his distinguished career as an astronaut and for creating a renewed interest for space and scientific discovery.
Cuddy and Blue Rodeo band mate Greg Keelor are among the latest to be recognized for their contributions to Canada through music, charity and community support.
The Order of Canada was created in 1967 to recognize outstanding achievement and dedication to the community and Canada.
Over 6,000 people have been invested into the Order of Canada.
