WINNIPEG — Glenlawn Collegiate at 770 St. Mary’s Road was under a hold and secure Tuesday afternoon.
Louis Riel District Superintendent Duane Brothers told 680 CJOB that a former student at the school showed up after lunch and attacked a current student in the bathroom.
Winnipeg police confirm that they’ve taken one person was taken into custody. The victim was not injured.
Students tell Global News that the hold and secure has since been lifted.
During the hold and secure the exterior doors of the school were locked and no one was allowed in or out of the building but students were free to move about inside the building.
