$3,000 worth of perfume stolen from 2 drug stores in Bowmanville

TORONTO – Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a male suspect in connection to two perfume thefts at two drug stores in Bowmanville over the weekend.

It is alleged the suspect first entered a Shoppers Drug Mart on Highway 2 at Clarington Boulevard around 7 p.m. on Nov. 7 and stole bottles of perfume.

Durham Regional Police said the man was caught on surveillance camera removing the products from their boxes and hiding them in his jacket.

It is estimated the suspect stole $1,900 worth of perfume at the location.

Police said the man entered a second Shoppers 20 minutes later at the Bowmanville Mall where he stole more than $1,100 worth of perfume.

The suspect is described as male, white, 50 to 55 years old, approximately 5’9″ tall with a medium build.

He has short hair and was wearing black pants, a brown leather coat and a black Pittsburg Penguins ball cap.

Police said the suspect may have been in the company of a white female, in her 40s, with long reddish hair.
