SASKATOON – Do we go too far to be politically correct around the holidays? That’s what some people are saying Starbucks is doing thanks to one man’s online rant that is gaining a lot of attention.

American evangelist Joshua Feuerstein’s problem is with the Starbucks new red cups, which this year don’t include the snowflakes, ornaments, reindeer and snowmen of years past.

“Starbucks wanted to take ‘Christ’ and ‘Christmas’ off of their brand new cups,” Feuerstein said in his Facebook video that’s been viewed over 14 million times since Thursday.

The coffee chain is saying this year’s minimalist design is an invite for customers “to create their own stories with a red cup that mimics a blank canvas.”

Donald Trump has even joined the debate, telling people to boycott the coffee chain over the cups.
