Teen arrested after driving the wrong way on Halifax highway

HALIFAX – A 17-year-old boy was arrested for dangerous driving Wednesday afternoon.

Several people called police and said they saw someone driving a late-model Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD truck, which had an attached trailer, recklessly in and around Bedford and the Halifax peninsula.

The teen later drove toward oncoming traffic on Highway 102, not far from the Dunbrack Street exit, where the truck eventually got stuck.

Halifax Regional Police reported no injuries.

The ride resulted in significant delays in the area, including at the A. Murray MacKay Bridge.
