The Manitoba Moose weren’t exactly welcomed back with open arms as the Toronto Marlies scored three goals in the second period on their way to a 5-3 triumph over the Moose on opening night.

Brenden Kichton got credit for the Moose first goal since returning from St. John’s in the off-season. Recently demoted from the Jets, defenseman Jay Harrison scored the other two goal for Manitoba.  Kichton finished the game with a goal and an assist.
