Global’s Thanks for Giving drive raises over $85,000 for Food Banks BC

Over $85,000 in donations and 110,000 pounds of food was raised in Global BC’s third-annual Thanks For Giving drive today.

Members of the public and companies donated at four locations in Vancouver, Kelowna and Penticton all day, with all proceeds going to Food Banks BC.

In 2014, the event raised $45,000 and just over 80,000 pounds. In 2013, the food drive’s first year, $9,600 and 17,000 pounds of food was donated.
