North Shore Rescue tracks down missing hiker on Cypress Mountain

File photo. North Shore Rescue

North Shore Rescue crews were out on Cypress Mountain Friday morning to rescue a missing hiker.

They say a young man in his twenties became lost yesterday.

He was able to call his mother in Oregon and she contacted rescue crews.

The man was gone for two days and prepared for a night outdoors.

He has now been brought out safely back to the Cypress parking lot. Other that being a little cold, he is OK.

Global News has a crew in the area. Stay tuned for updates throughout the morning.
