TORONTO – Several people were treated for minor smoke inhalation as a result of a two-alarm apartment fire in Toronto’s east-end Wednesday morning.
The call came in around 6:30 a.m. for a fire that began inside a fourth floor unit at 500 Dawes Road.

The occupants of the unit were removed and treated for smoke inhalation.
There’s no word yet on what caused the fire. Firefighters are still on scene controlling the blaze.
