A young man goes missing and police believe he’s the victim of a murder. BC Crime Stoppers needs your help to find out what happened to David Cox.
The 27-year-old had been living in Cranbrook for four months before his disappearance. Police say he was last seen on April 6, 2011 outside a medical clinic at 1629 Baker Street where he was waiting in a vehicle with another man.
At the time of the incident, police said they believe “foul play is involved in this investigation.”
Cox was adopted as a baby and grew up in a loving home in the Victoria area. As a child he enjoyed being outdoors and especially around the water. His parents say he struggled with addiction as a young man. They are pleading for anyone with information to come forward.
Cox’s mother says she has spent thousands of hours searching on the internet for any sign of her son.
“If we could bring him home and bury our son, then we would at least be able to remember him,” she said.
